GoodRule (the “Company”, “we”, “us”) operates the Domabemsoop (도마뱀숲) reptile breeding tracker (the “Service”) at domabemsoop.com. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, and the rights you have over your data. We operate under the laws of the Republic of Korea, primarily the Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA).

1. Information We Collect

a. Required at sign-up

  • Email address
  • Password (stored only as a one-way cryptographic hash)
  • Name

b. Optional at sign-up

  • Phone number — may be left blank; leaving it blank does not limit your use of the Service.

c. Information you enter while using the Service

  • Animal records (name, species, sex, birth date, morphs, lineage, notes)
  • Photos and weight measurements you upload
  • Pairing, egg-lay, and hatching records
  • Sales records (date, price, notes) — stored for your personal bookkeeping. GoodRule does not aggregate or read individual sales data.

d. Automatically collected information

  • IP address, cookies, access timestamps, device/browser information, usage logs
  • Web logs for error diagnostics and abuse prevention

2. How We Use Your Information

  • To identify and authenticate you (including sending verification emails)
  • To provide the Service (store your breeding records, generate alerts, serve public QR profiles you share)
  • To analyze usage statistics and improve Service quality
  • To respond to your support requests
  • To prevent fraud and resolve disputes

3. Data Retention

We delete your personal data once the purpose for which it was collected has been fulfilled. Exceptions:

  • Account information: retained until you delete your account
  • Access logs and cookies: 3 months (per Korea’s Protection of Communications Secrets Act)
  • E-commerce records (once a paid plan is offered):
    • Contracts and withdrawal of offer: 5 years
    • Payment and product-supply records: 5 years
    • Complaints and dispute-resolution records: 3 years

4. Sharing With Third Parties

We do not share your personal data with third parties, except:

  • With your explicit consent
  • When required by law or a valid legal request from law enforcement
  • When you enable the “QR public profile” feature: the selected animal’s photo, name, species, and morph become viewable via a public URL. You control which animals are shared and can revoke this at any time.

Note on international transfer: Using Google Analytics transfers IP addresses, cookie identifiers, and usage logs to the United States. You can opt out via your browser cookie settings or the Google Analytics Opt-Out Browser Add-on.

6. Your Rights

You may exercise the following rights at any time:

  • Access your personal data
  • Correct inaccurate data
  • Delete your data (account deletion)
  • Restrict processing
  • Export your data

To exercise any right, email us at support@domabemsoop.com. We will respond within a reasonable time, typically within 14 days.

7. Data Destruction

  • Procedure: Once the retention purpose has been fulfilled, the data is destroyed without delay.
  • Method: Electronic files are permanently deleted using irreversible methods. Paper documents are shredded or incinerated.

8. Security Measures

  • Passwords stored as one-way cryptographic hashes (never plaintext)
  • All traffic encrypted via HTTPS
  • Administrative access restricted under the principle of least privilege
  • Regular vulnerability checks and security updates
  • Encrypted backups with access control

9. Cookies

We use cookies to provide core functionality and analyze usage:

  • Required: Login session cookies (WordPress)
  • Analytics: Google Analytics (_ga, _gid, etc.)

You can refuse cookies via your browser settings. Some features may be limited if cookies are disabled.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as laws or the Service change. Material changes will be announced at least 7 days in advance on our website, or 30 days in advance when the change significantly affects user rights.
